Events (Preparation) Crew
About the role:
The Events Crew work in a fast and versatile environment, providing manual labour, rigging services, and transport logistics to bring quality events to life. They are responsible for the efficient setup of venues, safe transportation of equipment, operation of machines, and maintenance of our warehouse and resources.
Position: Full-Time
What you’ll be doing:
- Implementing the building/creating, dispatching, delivery, setup, and dismantling of events (including conferences, team-building activities, and other event setups);
- Transporting equipment and other materials in a timely manner, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations using company vans and trucks;
- Assisting the events crew with the preparation, loading, and unloading of materials;
- Communicating with Event Coordinators in the run-up to and during the implementation of events;
- Liaising with third parties, including suppliers and transport companies;
- Operating vehicles and equipment in safe and efficient ways according to Health & Safety regulations;
- Using space wisely and handling mechanical equipment efficiently;
- Assisting Riggers with the setup and dismantling of events;
- Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems when necessary;
- Maintaining standards of quality and Health & Safety in the work environment;
- Performing other duties as required from time to time.
Ideal candidate:
- A team player, organized, self-motivated, with an eye for detail and able to work with minimum supervision;
- Able to work under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and work flexible hours;
- Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers;
- Hands-on experience in working within the events industry will be considered an asset;
- Must be in possession of a clean Maltese driving license, including a C or C1 driving license;
- Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines;
- Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
