The Side that’s Always Greener

The Side that’s Always Greener

Busiest season, tight end-of-year deadlines to meet, last-minute events to organise. None of these was a valid enough excuse to ditch the office and organise an outdoor team trek: the Jugs way.

We traded in our work shows for our trekking boots and went off to what was meant to be an easy team bonding, bout of fresh air, countryside walk. Right? Wrong! What the team forgot is that it was a very rainy start to the season, and of course, our team hiking guru, aka Bernard, took this as an opportunity to get the team to trek in the muddiest conditions.

Let’s just say there was slipping and sliding, as well as a couple of expletives. What started out as a peaceful team bonding activity, quickly changed as one clever team member decided to cast a stone into the first muddy puddle we came across. It was not long till the team joined in and the fun and the little kid in everyone soon came out, to make sure we all went home wet and muddy!

Getting outdoors, experiencing new adventures, moving out of our comfort zone, and reaching new destinations, pretty much sums up our philosophy when it comes to our events and activities.

From all of us at JUGS, we wish you a fantastically Merry Christmas and wish to take this opportunity to say thank you for a great 2019. We’ve got something super exciting up our sleeves in 2020! We’re not ready to let the cat out of the bag as yet, but we will leave you with a hint… get ready to step outside your comfort zone, stretch your physical and mental limits to show you what you are capable of, no matter how rough, tough or muddy the terrain is!
